But I also think 49-10 is on the table here.īut I don’t think people appreciate how much of a loss Jonathon Brooks is like. Everybody is going to pick Iowa State, and I did in the written piece. Wasserman: We’re in Week 12 right now, but I’m not 100 percent past the notion that Texas could step in it again. They could be a three-loss team right now. But then there’s that bad Texas, which is lollygagging around for a quarter or two, some bad turnovers, and granted Quinn Ewers didn’t play in the Kansas State game, but they could have lost both of those games.
I think it was evident against Kansas State. So I think when Texas is really, really, really good, it’s very evident. And there should be some pushback to that notion because I feel like a more mature team would not be in a position where they have to make a catch by AD Mitchell while he’s laying on his back in the game’s last two minutes to ice the clock out and certainly not a fourth down stop in overtime against Kansas State. In the column that I wrote, I said that I felt like it was a more mature team that has learned how to win. Wasserman: I don’t know if Texas is just one of these teams that needs to learn how to kill off an opponent when they’re winning or whatever, but they’ve, in consecutive games, teams come back from very big leads in which they were dominating to almost lose. I feel like if you have a tight game in here, it’s going to be tough. Ubben: I think this is either a loss or another Texas romp.
